Finally I get to blog! What a week, it felt "forever-long". I decided last Friday that I had too many balls in the air (as the saying goes), decided to put them down gently just for the night before they came crashing down on my head.

 

Very happy that my Dad is back home from the hospital after the scare the weekend before. Had a bit of my faith restored in the Union Hospital, excellent cardiac ICU. It was crazy and hectic.

 

Oh and now I have been elected Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Alberton Child and Welfare Society. I've never been a Vice-Chairman, a bit nervous. Been president of the Dental Students Council, it was hard work - I hope I'm up to it. I introduced myself at the meeting and I think I spoke too much. Apparently I came across as "bubbly" .  .  . I hope a Vice-Chairman doesn't have to be too serious.

 

 

We also run an events company and currently we trying to guide an absolutely clueless groom through "things-girls-would-love-even-if-they-lie-and-say-they-won't-mind-whatever-you-do". Putting the finishing touches on the truly outrageous wedding parcels. I can't wait until they wrapped and ready to go!

 

Of course there are the patients, record number of surgicals this week. I loathe wisdom teeth, I think they dislike me just as much. "Hell no, we won't go! " the war cry of those little buggers.

 

Face of Sutra of course, which is incredibly exciting as well as nerve wrecking!

 

I had to finish five paintings, two for a birthday prezzie. Sitting at 01;00 in morning trying not get the movements of a thai dancer and the zen of a blue medicine Buddha proved to be challenging!

 

Oh and finally tried out the new gym, leaving the familiar uniformity of the Virgin Actives ( still got that membership just in case). Very old-school, very "Golds Gym" but snazzy. Lots of people on steroids, I also got lost trying to navigate my way to the weight section. What kind of a gym has a Mezzanine level? Also had a crazy dream that night about the gym - huge old Indian guys with the same t-Shirt on with young white blonde girlfriends (matching T-shirts) just well, being at the gym. I can't decipher that all - any takers?

 

Went to an awesome "Woman at Work" networking evening with my sister at the Glenvista Country club. Scored a pair of Hello Kitty Swavroski earrings.Yey!  Got home at elevan , deserves it's own blog

 

We also got locked into our own place, the door locked jammed! Luckily we had a cordless drill, which we've used only once before! Thank you Builder's Warehouse crazy sales.

 

Decored out a 21st this weekend - completely outrageous centrepieces, fish,flowers and giant cocktails- wooooooooo Luscious Lotus. There was a huge Squishee (gel ball) fight, which was awesome, water canons, bubble machines . . woohoooooo . . .  exhaustion!

 

Ofcourse there was the mundane inbetweens of groceries,blueberry smoothies,cooking and the nitty gritty of life

 

I say the more you do, the more you can do. Although you should stop before burnout. Life is keeping me on my toes!
